Design
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G features a slim design with a volume rocker and power button located on the left and right sides of the device respectively. There is a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner of the screen. The back panel has a rising rectangular camera module that is similar to the OPPO Find X3 series. The camera island houses two vertically stacked big sensors with a CD ring that is said to enhance imaging performance.
There is a third small lens and an LED flash beside the other two sensors. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will be available in Bahama Blue and Grey Mirror colours.
Hardware
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is confirmed to be powered by MediaTek’s 5G compatible Dimensity 900 processor. It is based on 6nm architecture with two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The upcoming offering is teased to be the first Nord device to come with a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion up to 1TB. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will come with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apart from the confirmed specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is expected to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It is tipped to come with a 16MP front-facing snapper and triple rear camera setup of 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will reportedly be backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit and run on OxygenOS 12 based Android 12 out of the box.
