Samsung had plans to release the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 Beta update to the Galaxy S23 series in the third week of July. However, it looks like the company has delayed that plan, as we’ve now passed into the fifth week of the month. However, it looks like the update is coming sooner than later, at least in some countries.
The South Korean firm has created official forum sections for the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
This new forum section is empty as of now, but it is available on the
company’s official forums in India and the US. It probably means Samsung
is almost ready to start the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23
series.
As usual, we expect the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 Beta update to be available in India, Germany, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. A few days after the release of the One UI 6.0 Beta update to the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung could release the update to other high-end phones, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Nothing concrete is known about One UI 6.0 yet, but we expect all major Android 14 features to be a part of the update, including better font scaling, improved multitasking (on tablets and foldable phones), predictive back gesture, improved share sheet with support for custom actions, cross-device improvements, and better privacy for images and videos on the device.
