Posts and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar said that efforts have been made to bring the entire country under high-speed internet connection as a tool of the fifth industrial revolution. There is no alternative to eliminating the digital disparity in all areas of cities, villages, women and men to face the challenges of digital technology in the future. For this purpose, political social and cultural initiatives along with the government are essential.

He opined so while speaking as the Chief Guest at the National Policy Dialogue on ‘Safe Use of Technology for Peace and Democracy Promotion’ organized by Bangladesh Enterprise Institute at a hotel in the capital on Saturday.

Posts and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar said that the government is implementing the initiative to deliver high-speed internet to every village in the country.

Youth and Sports Secretary Mejbah Uddin and Ambassador and Head of Delegation of European Union Charles Whiteley spoke at the event presided over by Ambassador Humayun Kabir.

Speakers in the event emphasized the need to create widespread public awareness of the safe use of digital technology.
