POCO M4 Pro launched in India; X4 Pro debuts globally at MWC 2022

POCO M4 Pro and POCO X4 Pro 5G have launched today. These smartphones were announced through POCO’s first-ever event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 tech exhibition. The POCO X4 Pro has arrived as the successor for the Snapdragon 860 powered POCO X3 Pro from last year. Among the two, only the M4 Pro has been announced for the Indian market. Hence, it is unclear when POCO plans to launch the X4 Pro in India.

The POCO X4 Pro offers key features such as a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6-series chip, 108-megapixel triple cameras, 5G support, and 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the POCO M4 Pro is a 4G LTE device with specs like a 90Hz AMOLED display, 108-megapixel triple cameras, and 33W fast charging.

POCO M4 Pro first sale date in India

The POCO M4 Pro will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart. It will be carrying out the first sale of the smartphone at 12 pm on March 7th, 2022. Currently, the X4 Pro is available only for the global markets.

POCO M4 Pro launch offers

As an introductory offer, the POCO M4 Pro’s variants will be available for Rs 13,999, Rs 15,499, and Rs 16,999, respectively. To take advantage of this offer, buyers need to purchase the POCO M4 Pro through HDFC Bank debit/credit cards and credit card EMI transactions to get a flat discount of Rs 1,000 on all three variants of the M4 Pro.

POCO M4 Pro specifications and features

The POCO M4 Pro has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel and its back panel has a 108-megapixel primary camera, which is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The Helio G96 chipset is present under the hood of the POCO M4 Pro. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

POCO X4 Pro specifications and features

The POCO X4 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that delivers a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is fitted with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and its back panel has a triple camera unit, which comprises a 108-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

The X4 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 695 and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The device ships with up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging.

The POCO X4 Pro and M4 Pro offers other features such as Android 11 OS with MIUI 13 on top, up to 3GB of extended RAM, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, IR blaster, GPS, NFC, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. As can be known through the specs, the POCO X4 Pro and M4 Pro are rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11S 4G with a rear design that identifies them as POCO.
